LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Richard Roth, M.D. as he is honored by
the American Red Cross in Greater New York Rockland on May 13, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are greatly enriched by the compassionate commitment of individuals who
distinguish themselves in their profession and in service to their
community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
cardiologist Richard Roth as he is honored by the American Red Cross in
Greater New York Rockland at its Annual Benefit Dinner to be held at
Restaurant X and Bully Boy Bar, Congers, New York, on Thursday, on May
13, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Currently a partner at Hudson Heart Associates in Suffern,
Dr. Roth has been a practicing cardiologist in the Rockland County area
for 29 years, since 1980; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Roth earned his Bachelor of Science degree from M.I.T. in
1971 and his M.D. degree from Yale Medical School in 1975, and completed
his post doctoral training in Boston at Boston City Hospital and Boston
University Medical Center; and
WHEREAS, He has served as Chief of Cardiology and Chief of Medicine at
Good Samaritan Hospital and is, at present, Chief of Echocardiography at
Good Samaritan; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Roth's primary clinical interests are in non-invasive
diagnostic cardiology, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound and he
has had clinical appointments at Good Samaritan Hospital, Nyack Hospital
and at Columbia University School of Medicine; and
WHEREAS, Well-known and highly respected, Dr. Roth has been rated a
"Top Physician in the Hudson Valley Area by Castle and Connolly since
1999; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dr. Richard Roth as he is honored by the American Red Cross in
Greater New York Rockland on May 13, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Richard Roth, M.D.
