LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 120th Anniversary of the St.
Cabrini Home, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 120th Anniversary of the St. Cabrini Home, Inc., to be cele-
brated on Monday, May 24, 2010; and
WHEREAS, St. Cabrini Home is a non-profit organization which provides
residential care and intervention to adolescents and their families in
New York State; through the incorporation of educational, clinical,
recreational, spiritual, and socialization strategies, St. Cabrini Home
gives its youth the tools they need to conquer the obstacles to their
personal growth and development; and
WHEREAS, The philosophy and mission of St. Cabrini Home are firmly
rooted in a Catholic tradition and in the heritage of St. Frances Xavier
Cabrini; under the sponsorship of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred
Heart of Jesus, St. Cabrini Home invites all children, families, employ-
ees, administrators and members of the Board of Directors, to collab-
orate in shaping and living in a Christian community; and
WHEREAS, This special community will manifest love in all its activ-
ities by providing a compassionate service which respects the dignity
and worth of every individual along with the sacredness of life; and
WHEREAS, St. Cabrini Home is concerned with the personal growth of
each individual entrusted to its care and committed to the spiritual,
physical, educational, emotional and moral development of that person;
it fulfills its purpose through the incorporation of the following
values into its work, including: stewardship, collaboration, respect for
life, compassion, excellence, and courage; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 120th Anniversary of the St. Cabrini Home, Inc.; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to St. Cabrini Home, Inc.
