LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Stuart and Suzanne Beretx upon the
occasion of their designation for special recognition by the Westchester
Day School on February 8, 2009

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Stuart and Suzanne Beretx have given not only of their time
and energies but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership
and consequently have been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Stuart and
Suzanne Beretx upon the occasion of their designation for special recog-
nition by the Westchester Day School at its 61st Anniversary Dinner to
be held on Sunday, February 8, 2009, at the Greentree Country Club, New
Rochelle, New York; and
WHEREAS, Stuart and Suzanne Beretx have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless endeavors on behalf of Westchester
Day School and have always given of themselves unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, Stuart Beretx serves on
the school's Executive Board of Trustees and co-chairs its Capital
Campaign; he is also the past chair of the Finance Committee; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary leader, Suzanne Beretx diligently served as PTA
co-president for three years; she has also co-chaired many book fairs
and is an instructor for the Learning to Look program; and
WHEREAS, Together, they are active members of the Young Israel of
Scarsdale and are the proud parents of Dyana, Elliot, Nathan, and Benja-
min; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Stuart and Suzanne Beretx have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Stuart and Suzanne Beretx have displayed
throughout their lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Stuart and Suzanne Beretx upon the occasion of their designation
for special recognition by the Westchester Day School; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Stuart and Suzanne Beretx.
