LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending The Andes Hotel upon the occasion of
receiving the Hospitality and Entertainment Award from the Central Cats-
kills Chamber of Commerce on May 19, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious pioneer companies of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
The Andes Hotel upon the occasion of receiving the Hospitality and
Entertainment Award from the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce at
its 2010 Annual Membership Awards Dinner to be held at the Hanah Moun-
tain Resort and Country Club on Wednesday, May 19, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Ed and Sally O'Neill, proprietors of The Andes Hotel, have
created an exceptional business committed to serving local food daily,
supporting local farmers and demonstrating a dedication to a quality
menu matched by few; and
WHEREAS, The Andes Hotel is not only recognized as a premier restau-
rant but combined with the broad variety of musical talent that is
presented every weekend throughout the year; the Hotel is a true gem of
the Catskills; and
WHEREAS, The Andes Hotel has brought back the tradition of a full
service hotel that serves not only the needs of its customers but the
community as well, serving as a tourism destination for those seeking to
experience a bit of rural living with fun and relaxation; and
WHEREAS, The success of The Andes Hotel is due to the efforts of its
leaders and staff, who are and have always been characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the company and the
population it serves; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
recognize The Andes Hotel, for its unwavering commitment to the citizens
of the Central Catskills, as it provides an uncompromising standard of
excellence in the delivery of superlative community service; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend The Andes Hotel upon the occasion of receiving the Hospitality
and Entertainment Award from the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce
on May 19, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to The Andes Hotel.
