LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Alta Log Homes, LTD, upon the occasion
of receiving the Innovation in Green Technology Award from the Central
Catskills Chamber of Commerce on May 19, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious pioneer companies of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Alta Log Homes, LTD, upon the occasion of receiving the Innovation in
Green Technology Award from the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce at
its 2010 Annual Membership Awards Dinner to be held at the Hanah Moun-
tain Resort and Country Club on Wednesday, May 19, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Alta Log Homes, with over 35 years of building homes of
exceptional quality, natural beauty and ease of construction has contin-
ued its tradition of innovation in building design; and
WHEREAS, It has achieved certification in the NYSERDA's Energy Star
label for using 30% less energy and in joining in the US Green Building
Council and the LEED for Homes Program; and
WHEREAS, Frank Mann, Sr. and David Mann, proprietors of Alta Log
Homes, have created green acres, a 13-home subdivision nestled in a
wooded area in the town of Middletown, New York; all of the homes in the
community are certified as New York Energy Star labeled homes; and
WHEREAS, The success of Alta Log Homes is due to the efforts of its
leaders and staff, who are and have always been characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the company and the
population it serves; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
recognize Alta Log Homes, for its unwavering commitment to the citizens
of the Central Catskills, as it provides an uncompromising standard of
excellence in the delivery of superlative customer service; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Alta Log Homes, LTD, upon the occasion of receiving the Inno-
vation in Green Technology Award from the Central Catskills Chamber of
Commerce on May 19, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Alta Log Homes, LTD.
