LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Patricia Moore upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by A&D Programs Associate Ministry

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Patricia Moore
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by A&D
Programs Associate Ministry, to be celebrated on Sunday, May 23, 2010,
in Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of the Ministry's 7th Anniversary, its members
have decided to host an evening of paying homage and showing love to
many individuals; and
WHEREAS, Registered with the State of New York, the A&D Programs Asso-
ciate Ministry is designed to help the less fortunate in Guyana, the
Caribbean, and the United States; it also helps to promote projects and
proposals in its communities which foster change for a better living;
and
WHEREAS, Patricia Moore, a ninth-grade student, had an outstanding
academic year in 2009; she has received numerous accolades and awards,
and is well-worthy of this meritorious distinction; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
scholar now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments and
in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appreciat-
ing the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers, parents and
community overall; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Patricia Moore upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by A&D Programs Associate Ministry; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Patricia Moore.
