LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben for receiv-
ing the 2010 Kingsley Family Partnership Award from the Westchester ARC

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben have given not only of their time
and energies but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership
and consequently have been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mr. and Mrs.
Jeffrey Reuben for receiving the 2010 Kingsley Family Partnership Award
from the Westchester ARC on Tuesday, June 1, 2010; and
WHEREAS, This special award is granted each year to a family who
demonstrates leadership, support, and is an exemplary example of how to
develop and support people with developmental disabilities in the commu-
nity; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben have been called upon to contrib-
ute their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors
and have always given of themselves unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben are strongly associated with
Westchester ARC events and services; the entire Reuben Family (Jeff,
Abby, and Nicole) are always on hand; equally important is the support
Jeff provides for Abby in the participation in Board meetings and other
specific functions; and
WHEREAS, Abby's support and mentorship of the Consumer Services
Committee and the chair responsibilities for the Educational Services
Committee would not be possible without Jeff's strong support; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben have
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben have
displayed throughout their lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben for receiving the 2010 Kingsley Family
Partnership Award from the Westchester ARC; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Reuben.
