LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Altamont Community Tradition (ACT) upon
the occasion of its designation by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce
as the recipient of its 2010 Guilderland Chamber Award of Merit on June
10, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend business leaders of the State of New York whose accomplishments
contribute to the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Altamont Community Tradition (ACT) upon the occasion of its designation
by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of its 2010
Guilderland Chamber Award of Merit; and
WHEREAS, Altamont Community Tradition (ACT) will be honored at the
Guilderland Chamber of Commerce's 38th Annual Dinner and Community
Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Albany Country Club on Thursday, June
10, 2010; and
WHEREAS, In honoring ACT for civic activities which have significantly
contributed to the enhancement of the business community the chamber
serves, the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce recognizes that this year
Altamont Community Tradition proved to be an organization vital to the
betterment of the Altamont community with its Victorian Holiday and
House Tours, Village cleanups, and other events drawing residents and
visitors to the community and its businesses; and
WHEREAS, The growth and continued healthy development of the economy
of the communities of the State of New York are dependent on the
successful operation and commitment of businesses operating in the local
community; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
extend its highest commendation to Altamont Community Tradition (ACT)
and to wish it continued success in all its endeavors; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Altamont Community Tradition upon the occasion of its designation
by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of its 2010
Guilderland Chamber Award of Merit on June 10, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Altamont Community Tradition.
