LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Capital District Transportation
Authority upon the occasion of its designation by the Guilderland Cham-
ber of Commerce as the recipient of its 2010 Guilderland Chamber Best
Place to Work Award on June 10, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend business leaders of the State of New York whose accomplishments
contribute to the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) upon the occasion of
its designation by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce as the recipient
of its 2010 Guilderland Chamber Best Place to Work Award; and
WHEREAS, The Capital District Transportation Authority will be honored
at the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce's 38th Annual Dinner and Communi-
ty Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Albany Country Club on Thursday,
June 10, 2010; and
WHEREAS, The Capital District Transportation Authority, in a matter of
weeks, received 45 nominations from its employees for this award; and
WHEREAS, The growth and continued healthy development of the economy
of the communities of the State of New York are dependent on the
successful operation and commitment of businesses operating in the local
community; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
extend its highest commendation to the Capital District Transportation
Authority and to wish it continued success in all its endeavors; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Capital District Transportation Authority upon the occasion of
its designation by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce as the recipient
of its 2010 Guilderland Chamber Best Place to Work Award on June 10,
2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Capital District Transportation Authority.
