LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Robinson's Ace Hardware of Guild-
erland on being named a Vision 21 Platinum retailer by Ace Hardware
Corporation

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the achievements of individuals and businesses which contribute
substantially to the economic health and vitality of the communities of
the State of New York, and to their quality of life; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Robinson's Ace Hardware of Guilderland on being named a Vision 21
Platinum retailer by Ace Hardware Corporation for being a top-performing
store; and
WHEREAS, Ace's Vision 21 retail achievement program provides initi-
atives, guidelines and goals intended to help Ace stores improve sales
and overall store performance; and
WHEREAS, Of the three levels of Vision 21 achievement a store can
achieve, the Platinum level is the highest and represents the top six
percent of all Ace stores; and
WHEREAS, Only 272 of about 4,500 Ace Hardware stores achieved this
high honor for 2009; and
WHEREAS, Robinson's Ace Hardware prides itself on providing the best
customer service and a mix of quality brands to fit the needs of the
community and truly merits recognition as a Vision 21 Platinum store;
and
WHEREAS, Small businesses, such as Robinson's Ace Hardware, and its
owners and employees, exert a strong, positive influence on the communi-
ties they serve and are an essential component of the economy of the
Empire State, and of the quality of life of its communities; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
success it has worked so hard to achieve; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Robinson's Ace Hardware on being named a Vision 21 Platinum
retailer by Ace Hardware Corporation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Garry Robinson, President of Robinson's Ace Hardware.
