LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Tomorrow's Hope Foundation upon the
occasion of hosting its Stars for Students Scholarship Gala

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those organizations which are committed to enhancing the
quality of education in the State of New York, and which enable our
schools to offer excellent educational programs in the most efficient
manner; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Tomorrow's Hope Foundation upon the occasion of hosting its Stars for
Students Scholarship Gala on Friday, May 21, 2010; and
WHEREAS, The mission of Tomorrow's Hope Foundation is to ensure the
excellence as well as the continuance of Catholic elementary schools on
Long Island, by increasing awareness and by providing scholarships and
program funding for the needs of students and schools throughout the
Diocese of Rockville Centre; and
WHEREAS, The primary goal of Tomorrow's Hope Foundation is to give
more children the opportunity to enjoy the advantages of an elementary
Catholic school education; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Tomorrow's Hope Foundation upon the occasion of hosting its
Stars for Students Scholarship Gala; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Tomorrow's Hope Foundation.
