LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending David Reitberger upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by Congregation Anshe Sholom on
June 13, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals who have distinguished themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and purposeful lives
of service to their community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
David Reitberger upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition by Congregation Anshe Sholom at its Testimonial Dinner held on
Sunday, June 13, 2010, at The Hilton Rye Town, Rye Brook, New York; and
WHEREAS, A man of singular distinction, David Reitberger has contin-
ually demonstrated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence, and
diligent leadership in his unwavering service to his community and
profession; and
WHEREAS, David Reitberger has been a part of the Anshe Sholom communi-
ty for his entire life; from a young age, he came to shul with his
parents, Jacob (z"1) and Esther, and his sister Sarah; countless fond
memories from his childhood center around the shul; and
WHEREAS, David Reitberger attended Westchester Day School and Ramaz
High School; at Westchester Day School, he learned the basics of reading
the Torah and Haftorah, but it was primarily Rabbi Weinberger's encour-
agement and confidence in David that led him to become the regular Ba'al
Korch at Anshe Sholom, where he read the Torah on a weekly basis and on
the High Holidays for many years; this foundation allowed him to later
become the Ba'al Korch at the Concord Hotel, in Kiamesha Lake, for
several years, until they closed the hotel; and
WHEREAS, In his professional life, David Reitberger is the creator and
owner of Global Meridian, a marketing and management consulting firm
specializing in the needs of small and mid-sized businesses; he espe-
cially enjoys working closely with diverse clients to develop strategies
and implement programs aimed at optimizing their performance and expand-
ing their businesses; and
WHEREAS, In addition, David Reitberger offers a broad range of market-
ing and business services, including website development, graphic
design, business coaching, web-related marketing implementation and
traditional marketing services; recently, he established a new division
of Global Meridian, devoted to providing medical and legal practices
with improved marketing and management structure in order to maximize
their potential; he received his Masters of Business Administration in
Marketing from Baruch College and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma
honor society for business students; and
WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, David Reitberger has been
called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and
charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, David Reitberger has been involved in various Jewish chari-
ties and, a few years ago, co-founded Friends In Solidarity, an organ-
ization aimed at bringing young Jewish professionals together to support
worthy causes that benefit the Jewish community and Israel; and
WHEREAS, Although David Reitberger lives in Manhattan, his connection
with Anshe Sholom is ongoing; he frequently reads the Torah and Shabbos
and has been reading Megillat Esther on Purim for the past eight years;
his special feelings for Anshe Sholom and desire to see the community
flourish prompted him to use his professional skills to redesign and

maintain the Anshe Sholom website with the goal of informing both exist-
ing and prospective members of what Anshe Sholom has to offer; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which David Reitberger has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend David Reitberger upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by Congregation Anshe Sholom on June 13, 2010; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to David Reitberger.
