LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION celebrating the Annual Unity Day of the Tracey
Towers Tenant Organization, July 24, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to celebrate
the Annual Unity Day of the Tracey Towers Tenant Organization; this
auspicious event will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010, in the play-
ground area at 20 West Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Annual Unity Day celebration of the Tracey Towers Tenant
Organization fosters a sense of unity among the tenants that reside in
the Tracey Towers community; and
WHEREAS, The focus of the 2010 Unity Day celebration of the Tracey
Towers Tenant Organization will be on the cultural diversity of the
residents of the community by showcasing culture through dance, song,
art and other expressions; and
WHEREAS, In addition, the Tracey Towers Tenant Organization Unity Day
celebration brings awareness to the community's efforts to build strong
coalitions among the residents for a safer neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Tracey Towers
Tenant Organization; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to call attention to
organizations such as the Tracey Towers Tenant Organization, which serve
to bring people together for the united purpose of actively pursuing
improvements in their communities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
celebrate the Annual Unity Day of the Tracey Towers Tenant Organization;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Tracey Towers Tenant Organization.
