LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the auspicious occasion of the 45th
Commencement Ceremony of Kingsborough Community College of Brooklyn, New
York, on June 11, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
Kingsborough Community College, an exemplary institution of higher
education that possesses an enduring commitment to the pursuit of
academic excellence and has built a legacy of scholarly tradition for
the Brooklyn community of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Moved with admiration and great esteem, this Legislative Body
is justly proud to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 45th
Commencement Ceremony of Kingsborough Community College of Brooklyn, New
York, which was held on Friday, June 11, 2010; and
WHEREAS, This year's body of graduates stand at the threshold of their
futures with the accomplishments and energy of the distinguished alumni
of the past 45 years inspiring them upon their future road to success,
whether it be continuing study or the beginning of their professional
careers; and
WHEREAS, The value of the education each graduate has received from
Kingsborough cannot be measured in words or financial success; the true
success of each student has already been realized, for their hearts and
minds have been elevated and refined by the freedom to learn, and engage
in academic exchange with their professors and with each other that each
graduate has experienced during their time spent at Kingsborough Commu-
nity College; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is certain that the graduates of the
45th Commencement of Kingsborough Community College will begin the next
stage of their lives tomorrow, infused with the confidence they have
achieved there in building the solid foundation of learning which will
provide the basis for achieving all of their further academic goals,
career goals, and their future successes in life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
join with the administrative and academic staffs, all alumni, and the
entire student body of Kingsborough Community College of Brooklyn, New
York, in celebration of its 45th Commencement Ceremony on June 11, 2010;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Regina S. Peruggi, President, Kingsborough Community College,
2001 Oriental Boulevard, Brooklyn, New York 11235-2398.
