LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 80th Anniversary of H.G. Ellis
Agency

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 80th Anniversary of H.G. Ellis Agency; and
WHEREAS, The H.G. Ellis Agency, has been serving the central New York
community since 1930; it is an independent insurance agency specializing
in all lines of personal and commercial insurance; and
WHEREAS, Founded by Herbert G. Ellis, the Agency has grown to employ
11 people in three offices; the organization represents over 30 national
and regional insurance carriers, including Utica National which they
have represented since starting out in 1930; and
WHEREAS, Ellis also specializes in personal insurance, including auto,
homeowners, boat and motorcycle along with small to mid-sized commer-
cial insurance; the Agency also offers various life and health insurance
as well; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 80th Anniversary of H.G. Ellis Agency; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to H.G. Ellis Agency.
