LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Linda Christopher upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the Rockland County YMCA

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, A great community is only as great as those persons and
organizations that provide exemplary service, whether through partic-
ipation in voluntary programs, through unique personal achievement in
their profession or other endeavors, or simply through a lifetime of
good citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Linda Christopher upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Rockland County YMCA at its 122nd Annual meeting held
at the Nyack Seaport; and
WHEREAS, Linda Christopher is being recognized for her volunteer
service for more than a decade and chairing the Advisory Board of the
YMCA Children's Center at the Family Court which serves more than 1,100
children annually; and
WHEREAS, It allows parents to resolve matters in the Family Court
while their children enjoy activities in the YMCA Children's Center; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Linda Christopher upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Rockland County YMCA; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Linda Christopher.
