LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Allison Dubois upon the occasion of
becoming a finalist for the 2010 Geiger Gibson Program in Community
Health Policy Emerging Leader Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend individuals
whose professional commitment and dedication enhance the excellence of
health care in their community and the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Allison Dubois upon the occasion of becoming a finalist for the 2010
Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health Policy Emerging Leader Award;
and
WHEREAS, Currently, Allison Dubois is the Chief Administrative Officer
for Hudson River HealthCare; she was chosen for this prestigious award
as one among four outstanding young leaders in the nation; and
WHEREAS, The Geiger Gibson Emerging Leader Award was established in
2007 to highlight and share with the health center community the accom-
plishments of a new generation of health center leaders; and
WHEREAS, One or more Emerging Leaders are selected annually by the
Program, with the assistance of any advisory group comprised of health
center leaders; and
WHEREAS, The key qualities of leadership highlighted by this award are
commitment, motivation, professional achievement, and leadership quali-
ties that together further the health center mission; and
WHEREAS, These individuals are young leaders who have undertaken or
guided a specific task or tasks that have helped a health center further
the mission of providing high-quality, culturally competent health
services to underserved populations; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Allison Dubois upon the occasion of becoming a finalist for the
2010 Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health Policy Emerging Leader
Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Allison Dubois.
