LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Brian R. Amthor upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2010 Man of the Year Award from the
Hudson Valley Oil Heat Council

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Brian Amthor has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Brian R.
Amthor upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2010 Man
of the Year Award from the Hudson Valley Oil Heat Council on Saturday,
October 16, 2010 in New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, Brian Amthor has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Brian Amthor has been a Director of the Hudson Valley Oil
Heat Council for just four years; he has become an important asset to
the Board, and has been the driving force and developer of an effective
TV ad program; and
WHEREAS, Brian Amthor put the Oil Heat Council not only on television,
but in the minds of Oil Heat customers throughout the Hudson Valley;
Amthor International is an Associate Member of the Hudson Valley Oil
Heat Council, making Marketing Director Brian Amthor's efforts even more
significant; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Brian Amthor has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Brian Amthor has displayed through-
out his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brian R. Amthor upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2010 Man of the Year Award from the Hudson Valley Oil Heat Coun-
cil; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brian R. Amthor.
