LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kobacker's Market upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the Special Recognition Award by the
Brewster Education Foundation

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kobacker's Market upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Special Recognition Award by the Brewster Education Foundation on
Saturday, March 21, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Exemplary entrepreneurs, Kim and Frank Milano are currently
third-generation owners who have carried the spirit of giving and guided
the transformation of Kobacker's Market into a unique, upscale market;
and
WHEREAS, The Kobacker family has generously supported hundreds of
local community and school organizations, charities, benefits and
events; and
WHEREAS, A cornerstone for 50 years, Kobacker's Market is a friendly,
welcoming social center of the Brewster community; over the years, many
of the community's high school students have gainfully sought first time
employment and have been welcomed into the Kobacker family; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Kobacker's Market is in direct correlation
to the efforts of Kim and Frank Milano and their staff, whose involve-
ment is and always has been characterized by an impressive commitment,
an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the community and population they serve; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kobacker's Market upon the occasion of its designation as recipi-
ent of the Special Recognition Award by the Brewster Education Founda-
tion; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kim and Frank Milano, Owners, Kobacker's Market.
