LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Frank Valentini upon the occasion of
receiving the Linda Dano Heart Award from HeartShare Human Services of
New York

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
who have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire State with
their strong contributions to the community and model citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Frank Valentini upon the occasion of receiving the Linda Dano Heart
Award from HeartShare Human Services of New York; and
WHEREAS, A veteran of the Emmy Award-winning daytime drama, "One Life
to Live," on ABC Television, Frank Valentini was named executive produc-
er on November 14, 2002, after serving in various positions throughout
his 22 years tenure with the program; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Frank Valentini has served as a guest director
on the ABC daytime drama, "All My Children," and was the director of the
"Endless Drama" broadcast and web campaign for ESPN; and
WHEREAS, Nominated for a DGA Award in 2002, Frank Valentini, was
honored with an Emmy Award for producing in 2002 and 2008 as a part of
the "One Life To Live" directing team; and
WHEREAS, Frank Valentini has a vast knowledge of contemporary music,
which he acquired when he served as a radio station music director,
talent scout for Steam Records and freelance writer for VH-1; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Frank Valentini
received a degree in Film and Television Production; he also served for
two years on the board of the New Group Theater Company; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Frank Valentini upon the occasion of receiving the Linda Dano
Heart Award from HeartShare Human Services of New York, and to wish him
continued success in all of his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank Valentini.
