LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Northern Eagle Beverages upon the
occasion of receiving the NBT Distinguished Business Award from the
Otsego County Chamber of Commerce on April 10, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to honor those
businesses within the State of New York which distinguish themselves
through outstanding professional behavior and enduring commitment to the
community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Northern Eagle Beverages upon the occasion of receiving the NBT Distin-
guished Business Award from the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce at its
Annual Banquet and Celebration of Business to be held at the SUNY Oneon-
ta Hunt Union Ballroom on Saturday, April 10, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Northern Eagle Beverages, located on Railroad Avenue in
Oneonta, was founded by Louis Hager in 1986, and currently employs 33
people; and
WHEREAS, This successful business supplies beverages throughout Otse-
go, Delaware and Chenango counties; in 2001, Northern Eagle was selected
as the Wholesaler of the Year for the Northeast by Anheuser Busch; and
WHEREAS, In addition to conducting good business, Northern Eagle
Beverages also strives to help the local community and supports such
worthy organizations as Friends of Bassett, Foothills Performing Arts
Center, Hospice, and the United Way as well as many others; and
WHEREAS, Businesses such as Northern Eagle Beverages exert a strong,
positive influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial
element in the economy of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges Northern Eagle Beverages' success, recognizes its contributions to
the local and state economies, and extends its highest commendation to
the business and its employees, fully confident that, in its future, it
will enjoy the same success which has so characterized its past; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Northern Eagle Beverages upon the occasion of receiving the NBT
Distinguished Business Award from the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce
on April 10, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Northern Eagle Beverages.
