LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Alexia Minto as the Valedictorian and
Ruby Monichan as the Salutatorian of the Elmont Memorial High School
Class of 2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Alexia Minto as the Valedictorian and Ruby Monichan as the Salutatorian
of the Elmont Memorial High School Class of 2009; and
WHEREAS, Alexia Minto and Ruby Monichan stand poised on the threshold
of a broad and challenging world; a testament to the love and nurturing
care of their families and friends; and
WHEREAS, In achieving this high academic honor, Alexia Minto and Ruby
Monichan may take just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the
spirit of excellence they bring to Elmont Memorial High School; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alexia Minto as the Valedictorian and Ruby Monichan as the Saluta-
torian of the Elmont Memorial High School Class of 2009, and to wish
them continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Alexia Minto and Ruby Monichan.
