LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the accomplishments of the Hudson
Valley Renegades Youth Baseball Team

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those organ-
izations and individuals who faithfully devote their purposeful energies
to fostering opportunities for and to contributing to the quality of
life for the youth of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the accomplishments of the Hudson Valley Renegades Youth Baseball Team;
and
WHEREAS, The Hudson Valley Renegades are an elite 15 and under base-
ball team comprised of young boys throughout the Hudson Valley region;
the coaching staff and all involved with the organization are community
volunteers; and
WHEREAS, A travel baseball team which played in the USSSA World Series
in Chicago, Illinois, the Hudson Valley Renegades Youth Baseball Team
has competed against teams throughout the United States and abroad; and
WHEREAS, The Hudson Valley Renegades have played against teams from
China, Japan, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Canada; the team
traveled to Disney's Wide World of Sports and beat Team Puerto Rico,
along with playing in four championship games to become the 2008 Elite
Championship Tournament Baseball Champions; and
WHEREAS, The Hudson Valley Renegades Youth Baseball Team has been
featured in several newspapers and publications; a pillar in the commu-
nity, the emphasis of the team is integrity, sportsmanship and hard
work; and
WHEREAS, Community athletic organizations such as the Hudson Valley
Renegades Youth Baseball Team help to provide a strong and stable envi-
ronment for children and provide an opportunity for the community to
bond through the recreation of sports competition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the accomplishments of the Hudson Valley Renegades Youth Base-
ball Team; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mark Sacchi, Director, Hudson Valley Renegades Youth Baseball
Team.
