LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Logan Polsinello upon the occasion of
competing in the 12-13-year-old boys division of the 37th Annual
National Elks Hoop Shoot finals

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the State of New York who have
inspired and brought pride to their school and community by achieving
outstanding success in athletic competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Logan Polsinello upon the occasion of competing in the 12-13-year-old
boys division of the 37th Annual National Elks Hoop Shoot finals; and
WHEREAS, Representing Colonie Elks Lodge No. 2192, Logan Polsinello
captured the 2009 New York State Elks title and made it through five
different stages of competition to get to the National finals; and
WHEREAS, The cornerstone of the Elks youth activities programs, the
National Hoop Shoot competition highlights the fraternal organization's
national commitment to youth; this year, over 3,000,000 boys and girls
between the ages of eight and 13 participated; and
WHEREAS, A young man of singular distinction and superlative ability,
Logan Polsinello has become a sterling example and inspiration to all
who would aspire to success in competitive sports; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, Logan
Polsinello now stands honorably, with just pride in his accomplishments
and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appre-
ciating the caring counsel and support provided by his teachers, coaches
and parents; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when young
people of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Logan Polsinello upon the occasion of competing in the
12-13-year-old boys division of the 37th Annual National Elks Hoop Shoot
finals and to extend to him its best wishes for a future of purposeful
success and well-being, fully confident of his response to a promising
future and appreciative of the model he represents for all aspiring
young people of the Empire State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Logan Polsinello.
