LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ioxus, Inc. upon the occasion of receiv-
ing the Otsego County Chamber/The Daily Star Annual Breakthrough Award
on October 8, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
small businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the
economic health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Ioxus, Inc. upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego County Chamber/
The Daily Star Annual Breakthrough Award on October 8, 2009, at the
Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York; and
WHEREAS, Located in Oneonta, New York, Ioxus, Inc. is the only company
that develops, manufactures and commercializes innovative ultracapaci-
tors technologies entirely in the United States and provides cost-effec-
tive, green energy solutions for the military, transportation and alter-
native energy markets; and
WHEREAS, Ioxus, Inc. was established by its parent company, Custom
Electronics, which has supplied commercial and military clients with
high reliability capacitors and integrated electronic assemblies since
1964; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses such as Ioxus, Inc. exert a strong, positive
influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial element in the
economy of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when small
businesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ioxus, Inc., upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego County
Chamber/ The Daily Star Annual Breakthrough Award on October 8, 2009,
fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success
which has so characterized its past; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ioxus, Inc.
