LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Mark DeNise upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by Con-way Freight

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recognize
those extraordinary individuals who have made contributions to the
cultural enrichment of the State of New York, and to the success and
progress of society in the course of their life's work; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mark
DeNise upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
Con-way Freight; and
WHEREAS, Mark DeNise, a resident of Honeoye Falls, New York, and driv-
er sales representative for Con-way Freight, has obtained a major mile-
stone in acquiring one million miles of safe driving without an acci-
dent; this accomplishment is the ultimate measure of excellence; and
WHEREAS, Mark DeNise safely drove the one million miles beginning in
August of 2000, and just recently obtained the outstanding mark; his
impressive achievement highlights the personal and professional commit-
ment to safety he has executed for over 10 years driving for the Roches-
ter service center at Con-way; and
WHEREAS, Working for Con-way Freight since 1995 and having been a
professional truck driver for 25 years, Mark DeNise typically drives
approximately 500 miles per shift, and his route takes him from Roches-
ter to Lordstown, Ohio; he is a true asset to society; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his children, Ted, Nickole,
Cherle, and Jeramiah, as well as his grandchildren, Sean, Jonathan, and
Samantha, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mark DeNise upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by Con-way Freight; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mark DeNise.
