LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Superintendent Henry L. Grishman upon
the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2011 Education Part-
ner Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those illustrious individuals of distinguished purpose whose
lives have been committed to the pursuit of excellence in education of
the youth of the Empire State; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Superintendent
Henry L. Grishman upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2011 Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES to be celebrated at its
Fifth Annual Awards Gala at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New
York, on Thursday, May 12, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Henry L. Grishman is the Superintendent of the Jericho United
Public School District; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Nassau Coun-
ty (Nassau BOCES) serves the 56 school districts of Nassau County, Long
Island, by providing cost-effective shared services, as well as dozens
of programs to expand educational opportunity and help districts operate
more efficiently; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Superintendent Henry L. Grishman provide a
tremendous service to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring
generations of young people in their educational journeys and ensuring
their success in their future years; and
WHEREAS, Superintendent Henry L. Grishman has had an enduring impact
on the youth of the Jericho United Public School District, as well as on
the community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause
for his impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Superintendent Henry L. Grishman upon the occasion of his desig-
nation as recipient of the 2011 Education Partner Award; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Superintendent Henry L. Grishman.
