LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Ken Cohen upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the 2011 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Ken Cohen has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Ken Cohen
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the 2011
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Miami Sunset High, Ken Cohen attended Columbia
University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1985, and a Master of
Science at the Columbia Graduate School University of Journalism in
1987; until 1996, he worked at Fairchild Publication; and
WHEREAS, With over 25 years of publishing experience, Ken Cohen became
the owner of Run Publishing, located in Jeffersonville, New York; an
active contributor within his company, he writes newsletters and produc-
es an annual magazine for Golf Card International as well as coordinates
all the printing needs for the PGA Tour's Barclay's Classic; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Ken Cohen is co-Owner of the Janice Center, a
Music and Arts Center also in Jeffersonville; his wife, Tanya oversees
the programming aspect of the Center, while he oversees the marketing,
public relations and property management of the facility; and
WHEREAS, Ken Cohen has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Ken Cohen has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, and their daughter,
Gabrielle, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Ken Cohen has displayed throughout
his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ken Cohen upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2011 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ken Cohen, 5286 State Route 52, Jeffersonville, New York
