LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Robinson Brothers Appliances of Mohawk,
New York, upon the occasion of being designated as recipient of the 2011
Business of the Year Award by the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Robinson Brothers Appliances of Mohawk, New York, upon the occasion of
being designated as recipient of the 2011 Business of the Year Award by
the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce; this auspicious occasion will
be celebrated at the Chamber's 43rd Annual Membership Meeting and Lunch-
eon, to be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the Crystal Chandelier
Restaurant; and
WHEREAS, Owned and operated by Kim Robinson, Robinson Brothers Appli-
ances of Mohawk, New York, has as its motto, "The House that Good
Service Built"; and
WHEREAS, A fourth generation appliance business established in 1938 by
Alton and Lloyd Robinson, the Robinson Brothers Appliances of Mohawk,
New York, has been a family owned business for 73 years; current owner,
Kim Robinson, started his full time career in the business and took over
as owner in 1996; and
WHEREAS, In 2010, Robinson Brothers Appliances installed approximately
1600 appliances and televisions in the Greater Mohawk Valley; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Robinson Brothers
Appliances of Mohawk, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an organ-
ization of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our atten-
tion, it should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Robinson Brothers Appliances of Mohawk, New York, upon the occa-
sion of being designated as recipient of the 2011 Business of the Year
Award by the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Robinson Brothers Appliances, 10 West Main Street, Mohawk,
New York 13407.
