LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring President Wendy Z. Goldstein upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition by Lutheran Health-
Care

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recog-
nize those extraordinary individuals who have made contributions to the
cultural enrichment of the State of New York, and to the success and
progress of society in the course of their life's work; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
President Wendy Z. Goldstein upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by Lutheran HealthCare on Saturday, May 7, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The Medical and Dental staff is delighted to honor Wendy
Goldstein in recognition of her ten year anniversary as president and
CEO; she came to Lutheran HealthCare with a well-established and highly
regarded professional history of accomplishments within the New York
City health care field; and
WHEREAS, Over Wendy Goldstein's ten years of service, she has rein-
vented the Lutheran trademark by creating a strong interdependent system
of services now known as Lutheran HealthCare; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Wendy Goldstein's distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor President Wendy Z. Goldstein upon the occasion of her designation
for special recognition by Lutheran HealthCare; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Wendy Z. Goldstein, President and CEO of Lutheran HealthCare.
