LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Alcoa Fastening Systems of King-
ston, New York, upon the occasion of celebrating a five year milestone
of workplace safety

WHEREAS, Businesses which serve the economic well-being and interests of
the people of this great Empire State merit the commendation of this
Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Alcoa Fastening Systems of Kingston, New York, upon the occasion of
celebrating a five year milestone of workplace safety; this auspicious
occasion will be commemorated on Friday, May 13, 2011, at the Company's
facility at 1 Corporate Drive in Kingston, New York; and
WHEREAS, Employing approximately 59,000 people in 31 countries across
the world, Alcoa is the world's leading producer of primary aluminum and
fabricated aluminum, as well as the world's largest miner of bauxite and
refiner of alumina; and
WHEREAS, In addition to inventing the modern-day aluminum industry,

tion, consumer electronics and industrial markets for more than 120
years; and
WHEREAS, Alcoa's vision is to be the best company in the world in the

WHEREAS, The Kingston, New York, facility of Alcoa Fastening Systems
recently passed the five year mark without a lost workday incident; that
is the equivalent of over one million work hours; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Alcoa Fastening
Systems of Kingston, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Alcoa Fastening Systems of Kingston, New York, upon the
occasion of celebrating a five year milestone of workplace safety; and
