LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Morgan Wohkittel upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Junior Miss Dance Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and leaders
of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Morgan Wohkittel upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Junior Miss Dance Award; and
WHEREAS, Morgan Wohkittel of Endwell, New York, won this exceptional
award for her tap solo "Work Me Down" at the United States Tournament of
Dance held at Binghamton University's Anderson Center; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young lady has been dancing at Dance Spirit,
located in Binghamton, New York, for the past five years; 12-year-old
Morgan is also an assistant teacher at the dance studio; and
WHEREAS, Morgan Wohkittel exemplifies the best potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; she has brought
enduring honor to her family and her community through her many achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
young dancer now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplish-
ments and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and
appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers,
coaches and parents; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when young
people of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Morgan Wohkittel upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Junior Miss Dance Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Morgan Wohkittel, Endwell, New York.
