LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dennis J. Taylor upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dennis J. Taylor upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition, to be celebrated at the 4th Annual Men of Distinction Awards
Ceremony, on Thursday, June 9, 2011, in Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Dennis J. Taylor is the founder and executive director of the
Sabaoth Group, Inc., who conceived and developed business strategies and
a mission statement of values; he also implemented and developed
services that benefitted over 300 families in the East Brooklyn communi-
ty; in addition, he established numerous tenant and block associations
and earned a reputation for integrity as a community organizer; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Taylor was ordained as a minister in 2006 and through
his work inspired residents of the East Brooklyn community with a
renewed commitment to growth and development; he developed working stra-
tegies to bring the community, law enforcement and faith-based organiza-
tions closer together; and
WHEREAS, Dennis J. Taylor also ran and conducted successful marketing
and public relations campaigns to improve the image of the community; he
holds a certificate in social work from Fordham University and sits on
the boards of a number of committees and organizations in the
Brooklyn/East New York communities; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Anita, and their
children Danesha and Keyeira, as well as their granddaughters, Faith and
Patience, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dennis J. Taylor upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dennis J. Taylor.
