LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring outgoing Board Member, Norman Sammut,
Esq., for his distinguished service to the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce
on January 26, 2011

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those individuals who have given of themselves in support of the
good works and worthy accomplishments of individuals dedicated to
fellowship and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
outgoing Board Member, Norman Sammut, Esq., for his distinguished
service to the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce, at its Annual Installation
Dinner Dance, to be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Mulcahy's in
Wantagh, New York; and
WHEREAS, Norman Sammut, has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, In addition to his esteemed position as Board Member, Norman
Sammut also served as Parliamentarian as well as Chamber Newsletter
Editor for the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Norman Sammut has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Norman Sammut has displayed through-
out his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those individ-
uals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor outgoing Board Member, Norman Sammut, Esq., for his distinguished
service to the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Norman Sammut, Esq.
