LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Laszlo Lizak upon the occasion of his
designation as the recipient of the 2011 Senior Citizen of the Year
Award by Warren-Hamilton Counties Office for the Aging

WHEREAS, Senior citizens bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to
the increasingly active roles they play in today's society; their past
contributions and future participation are a vital part of, and valuable
asset to, the fabric of community life and activity; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Laszlo Lizak upon the occasion of his designation as the recipient of
the 2011 Senior Citizen of the Year Award by Warren-Hamilton Counties
Office for the Aging at its annual senior luncheon to be held on Thurs-
day, May 19, 2011, at Ft. William Henry, Lake George, New York; and
WHEREAS, Laszlo "Lou" Lizak of Wells, New York, has a deep sense of
commitment to his family, friends and community; he is active with vari-
ous organizations, including the Wells Volunteer Ambulance and Fire
Corps, the Wells Historical Society, and the Wells Rod and Gun Club; and
WHEREAS, In the past, Lou Lizak has served as a board member for the
Adirondacks Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce; he also served as
Fire Police Captain, President of the Wells Volunteer Ambulance Corps,
and President of the Algonquin Snow Blazers; and
WHEREAS, A tireless worker, Laszlo Lizak is always available and never
refuses anyone who is in need of his assistance; and
WHEREAS, Laszlo Lizak, a very active and industrious man, has inspired
and enriched the lives of many through his love and respect for others,
generously sharing the wisdom gained over years of experiencing life to
its fullest; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly recog-
nize and commend those who have witnessed and contributed to the devel-
opments and achievements of our Nation, State, and communities over the
course of their noteworthy lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Laszlo Lizak upon the occasion of his designation as the recipient
of the 2011 Senior Citizen of the Year Award by Warren-Hamilton Counties
Office for the Aging; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Laszlo Lizak.
