LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Joseph Camerino upon the occasion of his
retirement after 8 years of distinguished service as District Super-
intendent of the Oswego County BOCES

WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled; its
history and stature is secured by the superlative caliber of its educa-
tional professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and charac-
ter whose endeavors have enhanced the growth of education in the great
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Joseph Camerino upon the occasion of his retirement after 8 years of
distinguished service as District Superintendent of the Oswego County
BOCES on Thursday, June 30, 2011; and
WHEREAS, A man of singular distinction, Joseph Camerino has contin-
ually demonstrated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence and
diligent leadership throughout his 39 years of unwavering service to
educating the youth of New York State; and
WHEREAS, A fervent advocate for both students and educators in Oswego
County, as well as New York State, Joseph Camerino has played a vital
role in the success of the recent campus renovation project; and
WHEREAS, While Joseph Camerino is grateful he has had the opportunity
to serve the Oswego County educational community, he looks forward to
this new and promising phase in his life; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Joseph Camerino provide a tremendous service
to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of young
people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in their
future years; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Camerino has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of Oswego County, as well as on the community at large, and
accordingly merits recognition and applause for his impressive dedi-
cation to others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Joseph Camerino upon the occasion of his retirement after 8 years
of distinguished service as District Superintendent of the Oswego County
BOCES; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joseph Camerino.
