LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Rolling Thunder Inc., Chapter 3 New
York, upon the occasion of hosting the 12th Annual Salute To Veterans
Ride and Expo

WHEREAS, Members of the United States Armed Forces who served so faith-
fully and courageously in wars in which our Nation's freedom was at
stake, as well as in the preservation of peace during peacetime, deserve
the highest commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, The dedication and sacrifices of our military personnel
ensure our continued role as a Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Rolling
Thunder Inc., Chapter 3 New York, upon the occasion of hosting the 12th
Annual Salute To Veterans Ride and Expo, to be held on Sunday, June 12,
2011; and
WHEREAS, The event will begin with registration at Stewart Airport's
2nd Aviation Army Hanger; the Ride will go to a wreath-laying ceremony
in Highland Falls, and then travel through the hills and scenery of the
Hudson highlands; the Ride will be completed upon returning to Stewart
Airport with activities to follow; and
WHEREAS, This occasion provides an opportunity for motorcyclists and
patriotic-minded Americans to express their appreciation to the men and
women who have served, and those who continue to serve, our country; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is very pleased to have this opportu-
nity to express its gratitude to the men and women of the United States
Armed Forces for their tremendous sacrifices made for our Nation and for
the benefit of all Americans; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Rolling Thunder Inc., Chapter 3 New York, upon the occasion of
hosting the 12th Annual Salute To Veterans Ride and Expo; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ron Orts, President of Rolling Thunder Inc., Chapter 3 New
York.
