LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Sal's Barber Shop upon the occasion of
celebrating its 40 years of distinguished service to the community of
New City, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
small businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the
economic health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Sal's Barber Shop upon the occasion of celebrating its 40 years of
distinguished service to the community of New City, New York; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1971, Sal's Barber Shop has been an integral
part of the New City community for over four decades; and
WHEREAS, At the time Sal's Barber Shop opened, the original owner,
Sal, was the only barber in town; and
WHEREAS, With its friendly atmosphere and family-like setting, Sal's
Barber Shop has welcomed customers from all walks of life, outlasting
the changing times and changing hair-styles; and
WHEREAS, Today, Sal's Barber Shop serves both men and women; Aaron
Aronov bought the business five years ago, but Sal still has his chair
and his clients; and
WHEREAS, A small business, such as Sal's Barber Shop, exerts a strong,
positive influence on the communities it serves and is a crucial element
in the economy of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges Sal's Barber Shop's success, recognizes its contributions to the
local and State economies, and extends its highest commendation to the
business and its employees, fully confident that, in its future, it will
enjoy the same success which has so characterized its past; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Sal's Barber Shop upon the occasion of celebrating its 40 years
of distinguished service to the community of New City, New York; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Sal's Barber Shop, 74 South Main St, New City, New York
10956.
