LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Fahmida M. Aziz upon the occasion of her
designation as 2011 Merrick Merchant of the Year by the Merrick Chamber
of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Fahmida M.
Aziz upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Merchant
of the Year Award by the Merrick Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at
RS Jones Restaurant in Merrick, New York, on Monday, June 6, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Fahmida M. Aziz is the owner of Serengeti Design Studios, a
successful business in Merrick, New York, which deals with digital
printing, design, film processing, and also serves as a portrait studio;
it is a one stop shop offering design and printing services which
specializes in photo restorations and enlargement; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Fahmida M. Aziz has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor, and has earned the
respect and admiration of her colleagues, family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Fahmida M. Aziz has distinguished herself in her career and
community involvement, and the community has profited greatly from her
dedication and service; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Fahmida M. Aziz has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and business organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments
are brought to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citi-
zens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Fahmida M. Aziz upon the occasion of her designation as 2011
Merrick Merchant of the Year by the Merrick Clamber of Commerce; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Fahmida M. Aziz.
