LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Greene Field Hockey Coach Sue Carlin
upon the occasion of being named the Dita/National Field Hockey Coaches'
Association Coach of the Year for the North Region

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to commend notable educators and athletic
coaches who serve the youth of this great Empire State and who have
distinguished themselves and their schools through outstanding commit-
ment and exemplary athletic achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Greene Field Hockey Coach Sue Carlin upon the occasion of being named
the Dita/National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Coach of the Year
for the North Region; and
WHEREAS, Coach Sue Carlin began her coaching career at Maine-Endwell
in 1981, and in 14 seasons led the Spartans to two New York State titles
in 1988 and 1989, and three New York State semifinals from 1985-1987;
and
WHEREAS, Coach Sue Carlin started coaching at Greene in 2000, and led
the Lady Trojans to New York State titles in 2002 and 2009, along with a
spot in the State semifinals this past season; and
WHEREAS, Coach Sue Carlin has an overall record of 362-93-22, includ-
ing 38-1 in the last two years; and
WHEREAS, Coach Sue Carlin's positive demeanor, selfless commitment,
and caring concern have contributed to her enduring success as a coach
and mentor, earning her the just respect and admiration of her communi-
ty, her peers, and the athletes she has so ably coached; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Greene Field Hockey Coach Sue Carlin upon the occasion of being
named the Dita/National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Coach of the
Year for the North Region; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Coach Sue Carlin.
