LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dana and Mike Seguljic of Lake George,
New York, upon the occasion of being named POST-STAR Citizens of the
Year

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Dana and Mike Seguljic have given not only of their time and
energies but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently have been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dana
and Mike Seguljic of Lake George, New York, upon the occasion of being
named POST-STAR Citizens of the Year; and
WHEREAS, The Seguljics, who moved to Lake George from the state of
Connecticut nearly seven years ago, got involved in a project that
directly affected them; in their particular case, it was a 36-unit
subdivision planned for 288 acres near their home; and
WHEREAS, As the Seguljics began investigating the project, they real-
ized that the town was ignoring several important issues, including the
project's density and the ownership of the parcel; the couple then went
to the town meetings with a list of specific concerns; and
WHEREAS, Dana and Mike Seguljic researched the issues and the laws
thoroughly, and also tried to enlist in their cause the participation of
fellow citizens, government officials and the media; and
WHEREAS, For their dedication and concern for the welfare of the Lake
George community and the health of the lake itself, Dana and Mike Segul-
jic have been chosen as the 2010 POST-STAR Citizens of the Year; they
are invaluable assets to their community; and
WHEREAS, Dana and Mike Seguljic have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and
have always given of themselves unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Dana and Mike Seguljic have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Dana and Mike Seguljic have displayed
throughout their lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dana and Mike Seguljic of Lake George, New York, upon the occasion
of being named POST-STAR Citizens of the Year; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dana and Mike Seguljic.
