LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Long Island Spirits Inc. upon the occa-
sion of capturing the Gold Medal for Best Vodka in the New York Interna-
tional Spirits Competition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those exceptional businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Long
Island Spirits Inc. upon the occasion of capturing the Gold Medal for
Best Vodka in the New York International Spirits Competition; and
WHEREAS, Located in Baiting Hollow, New York, Long Island Spirits Inc.
is a potato-based liquor company; the business is a natural fit on the
East End where potato farming has deep roots; and
WHEREAS, Long Island Spirits sells its liqueurs on store shelves in
about 1,000 locations throughout the East Coast; and
WHEREAS, In addition to its many other accolades, the Gold Medal has
helped to fuel the expansion of Long Island Spirits Inc. to places such
as Illinois, Florida, Michigan, Georgia and Colorado; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges the Long Island Spirits Inc.'s success, recognizes its contrib-
utions to the local and State economies, as well as to local culture,
and extends its highest commendation to the company and its employees,
fully confident that, in its future, it will enjoy the same success
which has so characterized its past; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Long Island Spirits Inc. upon the occasion of capturing the Gold
Medal for Best Vodka in the New York International Spirits Competition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Long Island Spirits Inc.
