LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Karen Meyerowitz upon the occasion of
her designation as a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award and as
outgoing Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those who would
devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Karen Meyerowitz has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Karen Meyerow-
itz upon the occasion of her designation as a recipient of the Lifetime
Achievement Award and as outgoing Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce
of the Bellmores, to be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in
Woodbury, New York; and
WHEREAS, This special event titled "Sweet Memories," is the Chamber of
Commerce of the Bellmores' 2012 Installation Dinner Dance; festivities
will be held at the Woodbury Country Club; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Karen Meyerowitz has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, Mark Meyerowitz,
who feels privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Karen Meyerowitz has displayed
throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Karen Meyerowitz upon the occasion of her designation as a recipi-
ent of the Lifetime Achievement Award and as outgoing Treasurer of the
Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Karen Meyerowitz.
