LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Mark Meyerowitz upon the occasion of his
designation as a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award and as
outgoing Director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those who would
devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Mark Meyerowitz has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mark Meyerow-
itz upon the occasion of his designation as a recipient of the Lifetime
Achievement Award and as outgoing Director of the Chamber of Commerce of
the Bellmores, to be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Wood-
bury, New York; and
WHEREAS, This special event titled "Sweet Memories," is the Chamber of
Commerce of the Bellmores' 2012 Installation Dinner Dance; festivities
will be held at the Woodbury Country Club; and
WHEREAS, Mark Meyerowitz has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Mark Meyerowitz has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Karen, who feels priv-
ileged to be a part of his life and rejoices in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Mark Meyerowitz has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mark Meyerowitz upon the occasion of his designation as a recipi-
ent of the Lifetime Achievement Award and as outgoing Director of the
Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mark Meyerowitz.
