LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating BonaDent Dental Laboratories upon
the occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2011 Business of the
Year Award by the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late BonaDent Dental Laboratories upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the 2011 Business of the Year Award by the Seneca County
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, This fine event will take place on Friday, January 20, 2012
at the Waterloo Holiday Inn; and
WHEREAS, Sixty years ago, Angelo Bonafiglia, an aspiring and talented
young dental lab technician opened his own small laboratory in Auburn,
New York, unknowingly setting the course for successful dental techni-
cians for decades to come; consisting of Angelo and just two employees,
BonaDent was principally a denture lab, serving only a handful of local
dentists; and
WHEREAS, From the beginning, the company's goals were simple, but they
ring as true today as they did in 1950 which includes: understand your
doctors, know their needs, provide them with products that reflect the
highest in craftsmanship and care, and deliver them with consistent,
friendly customer service; and
WHEREAS, Today, BonaDent Dental Laboratories is an independently owned
and operated, full-service dental lab, now in its fourth generation
under the ownership of the Bonafiglia family; President Bruce H. Bonaf-
iglia bought the company in 1986; and
WHEREAS, Since that time, Bruce Bonafiglia has presided over more than
two decades of success and steady growth at BonaDent, never losing sight
of those fundamental principles of Angelo; Bruce's daughters Daniele,
Vice President, and Erin, Vice President of BonaDent's sister lab,
Danaren, are helping to propel the company toward continued growth and
future; and
WHEREAS, In 2000, BonaDent relocated to its current flagship location
in Seneca Falls; the bright and spacious, 44,000-square-foot laboratory
facility is one of the country's most technologically equipped and well-
resourced labs; Bruce Bonafiglia believes wholeheartedly that it was his
employees who truly built the new laboratory, due to their years of
dedication and hard work; and
WHEREAS, The state-of-the-art facility includes a hands-on technician
training center, a fully wired, high-tech 90-seat continuing education
auditorium, a fitness center, an in-house restaurant, an on-site daycare
center, and more; and
WHEREAS, In 2011, BonaDent completed a significant project which added
90 new jobs to its 138-person work force; the company is proud to never
outsource casework, always manufacturing its products in the United
States and the Family's 60-year tradition of innovation continues to
help dentists realize success in their practices, one restoration at a
time; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges BonaDent's contributions to the local and State economies, and
extends its highest commendation to this corporate enterprise, fully
confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success it has
enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate BonaDent Dental Laboratories upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the 2011 Business of the Year Award by the
Seneca County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Bonafiglia Family and BonaDent Dental Laboratories.
