LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Carole Wolf upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2012 Community Spirit Award by the
Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Carole Wolf has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Carole Wolf
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2012 Community
Spirit Award by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Carole Wolf will receive this most auspicious honor on Satur-
day, February 4, 2012, at the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of
Commerce's "An All-American Affair" Annual Gala, to be held at the
Grandview in Poughkeepsie, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Community Spirit Award is given annually to an individual
that visibly embraces the community in order to make it a better place
to live and work; and
WHEREAS, Carole Wolf has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, As Executive Director of the Mill Street Loft in Poughkeep-
sie, Carole Wolf is committed to fulfilling community needs through the
arts; and
WHEREAS, The Mill Street Loft and its award winning Dutchess Arts Camp
and year-round art classes exemplifies Carole Wolf's mission; and
WHEREAS, Carole Wolf and her staff at the Mill Street Loft participate
in the economic revitalization of the community through innovative
entrepreneurial programs such as Project ABLE; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Carole Wolf has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Carole Wolf has displayed throughout
her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Carole Wolf upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2012 Community Spirit Award by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Carole Wolf.
