LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Steve Carpaneto upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by Team New York Rotary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its
citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Steve Carpaneto upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition by Team New York Rotary; and
WHEREAS, Carey Counselor Steve Carpaneto ran in the New York City
Marathon along with Team New York Rotary on November 7, 2010, in order
to support four charities; and
WHEREAS, These particular charities include: the Ronald McDonald House
NY, Polio Plus International, Gift of Life International, and New York
Rotary Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Steve Carpaneto raised a significant amount for these partic-
ular causes through donations from his family, friends and colleagues;
and
WHEREAS, Although this was the first marathon Steve Carpaneto has run
in, he completed it in just over four hours; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Steve Carpaneto upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by Team New York Rotary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Steve Carpaneto.
