LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Randolph Central High School Lady
Cardinals Girls Volleyball Team upon the occasion of winning the New
York State Public High School Athletic Association Class D Championship

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor outstanding high school athletic teams that have exhibited the
teamwork, commitment and drive to succeed in statewide athletic competi-
tions in this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, The Randolph Central High School Lady Cardinals Girls Volley-
ball Team has claimed the 2010 New York State Public High School Athlet-
ic Association Class D Title with its win over Haldane Central School on
November 21, 2010; and
WHEREAS, This talented group of young athletes embodies the true spir-
it of teamwork in achieving a goal, all while demonstrating the ability
to balance the commitments of academics, family and athletics; and
WHEREAS, Recognizing the heart, desire and capabilities of this team,
Coach Robin Maycock encouraged this group of talented players as they
made their dreams of a state championship come true; and
WHEREAS, The Lady Cardinals Volleyball Team relentlessly pursued
victory in interscholastic play throughout the regular season and
beyond, with the season-long goal of a state championship title; and
WHEREAS, In the Class D state championship game against Haldane, the
Randolph Lady Cardinals played with resolve to find the right strategy
to lead the team to success in achieving its third state title in seven
years; and
WHEREAS, This special group of ambitious and dedicated athletes shared
their victory with the entire community served by the Randolph Central
School District; and
WHEREAS, The Randolph Central School Lady Cardinals Volleyball Team
ended its season with an overall record of 29-4, culminating in the
state championship title; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Randolph Central School Lady Cardinals Girls Volleyball
Team on its New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class
D Championship; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Randolph Central School Lady Cardinals Girls Volleyball
Team and to Coach Robin Maycock.
