LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Falconer Central High School Lady
Golden Falcons Girls Volleyball Team upon the occasion of winning the
New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Champion-
ship

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor outstanding high school athletic teams that have exhibited the
teamwork, commitment and drive to succeed in statewide athletic competi-
tions in this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, The Falconer Central High School Lady Golden Falcons Girls
Volleyball Team has achieved the first New York State Public High School
Athletic Association Class C title in Falconer history with its win over
Voorheesville Central High School on November 21, 2010; and
WHEREAS, This talented group of young athletes embodies the true spir-
it of teamwork in achieving a goal, all while demonstrating the ability
to balance the commitments of academics, family and athletics; and
WHEREAS, Recognizing the heart, desire, team chemistry and capabili-
ties of this team, Coach Darin Kennedy encouraged this group of talented
players as they made their dreams of a state championship come true; and
WHEREAS, The Lady Golden Falcons Volleyball Team relentlessly pursued
victory in interscholastic play throughout the regular season and
beyond, winning the school volleyball program's first-ever Section 6
sectional title; and
WHEREAS, In the Class C state championship game against Voorheesville,
the Falconer Lady Golden Falcons played as a cohesive unit and main-
tained a positive attitude throughout the game, helping the team to
succeed in achieving the state title; and
WHEREAS, This special group of ambitious and dedicated athletes were
honored with a parade in recognition of their state win, which became a
shared victory for the students, the school, the alumni and the communi-
ty; and
WHEREAS, The Falconer Central High School Lady Golden Falcons Volley-
ball Team ended its season with an overall record of 25-8, culminating
in the state championship title; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Falconer Central High School Lady Golden Falcons Girls
Volleyball Team on its New York State Public High School Athletic Asso-
ciation Class C championship; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Falconer Central High School Lady Golden Falcons Girls
Volleyball Team, and to Coach Darin Kennedy.
