LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dr. Charlotte Frank as she is honored
by the East Meadow Jewish Center at its 2012 Tikkun Olam Testimonial
Dinner on March 28, 2012

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that individuals who
distinguish themselves in their profession and in service to their
community and their faith merit the highest commendation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to recognize
and commend Dr. Charlotte Frank upon the occasion of her designation for
special honor by the East Meadow Jewish Center; and
WHEREAS, In fitting recognition of her significant contributions, Dr.
Charlotte Frank will be honored with the East Meadow Jewish Center's
2012 Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) Community Service Award at a
Testimonial Dinner in tribute to her and her many accomplishments on
Wednesday, March 28, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Charlotte Frank is the Senior Vice President of
McGraw-Hill Education and a former member of the New York State Board of
Regents; and
WHEREAS, The esteemed Tikkun Olam Award is being presented to Dr.
Frank in recognition and appreciation of her lifelong commitment to the
field of education and to the anti-bullying movement in America; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to extend its high-
est commendation to Dr. Charlotte Frank for her exemplary personal and
professional achievements and for her contributions to her community and
to the community of the State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dr. Charlotte Frank upon the occasion of her designation as the
recipient of the East Meadow Jewish Center's esteemed Tikkun Olam Commu-
nity Service Award on March 28, 2012; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Charlotte Frank.
